FAQ - General questions


ADMote Control contains 2 versions: The free version and the paid version. Both are available for download/purchase on the Google Play Store. If you want to download the ADMote Control Client click here: Download ADMote Control Client and if you want to download the ADMote Control Server click here: Download ADMote Control Server.

The differences between the two app versions are the following ones:
- The free version displays ads and the paid version does not.
- The free version has a limited number of features unlocked, while the paid version has all the features unlocked.

- ADMote Control Client System Requirements: Android OS version 6.0+ (no root recommended)
- ADMote Control Server System Requirements: Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10

At the moment Chrome OS is not supported. It is something to we plan to support in the future though.





FAQ - Connection questions

In order to setup a connection via Wi-Fi between the mobile device and the computer first you will need to download both the ADMote Control Client and the ADMote Control Server where you will find the connection details (IP and Port Number) required for this operation. In order to setup a connection via Bluetooth between the mobile device and the computer first you will need to download both the ADMote Control Client and the ADMote Control Server and then to pair the two devices so they can communicate via Bluetooth. ADMote Control only communicates on your local network. The connection between the ADMote Client and ADMote Server is secure because we use SSL encryption, but we strongly recommend you that if you choose a WiFi network for establishing the connection between the client and the server, to make sure that the network you choose is protected with a password and it's not a public WiFi. For best security make sure that you have a good router and firewall.
We cannot take responsability if something happens while you are using our app, if you are connected to a public WiFi. The public WiFi networks are not always secure, so anything could happen.

There are many different things that could cause connection problems, things that are out of our control. We've created a help article where you can find more info about how to troubleshoot a connection problem. Unfortunately, this is not possible at this moment. You cannot use the phone/tablet to connect to multiple computers at the same time but you can use multiple phones/tablets to connect to the same computer at the same time, because every connection will have a different port.

Unfortunately, at the moment we do not support controlling another Android device from your phone or tablet. That is however a feature that we are currently working on and hope to release in the near future.

If you want to disconnect the session or to reset the connection, you will have to click on the "Reset/Disconnect" button on the ADMote Client and on the "Reset Connection" button on the ADMote Server.

If you want to connect again by using the same IP Address and Port Number you don't have to enter them again into the ADMote Client, all you will have to do is to reset the connection on ADMote Server by clicking on the "Reset Connection" button and then to click on the button where you can see the last connection details and as long as you have the server running on your laptop the connection will be established again.

No, the connection between the ADMote Control Client and the ADMote Control Server can be established in the same way on both free and paid app versions.

FAQ - Remotes questions


At this moment, the free version of the app has 5 remotes available.

At this moment, the paid version of the app has 28 remotes available.

At this moment, the remotes can be unlocked in 3 different ways:

1. Watch an ad - The remote that you selected will be temporary unlocked
2. Purchase the selected remote - The remote will be permanently unlocked and the purchase will be saved in your Google Account so if you will uninstall and then reinstall the app or if you will clear the cache of the app, the next time when you will use the app you will not have to purchase the remote again.
3. Buy the full version of the app. You can do that by accessing the following link: Buy the ADMote Control Full

Make sure you are using the latest version of the ADMote Control Server. Also, please make sure that the ADMote Control Client has been successfully connected to your computer or laptop. Otherwise, the mobile device and the computer will not be able to communicate. For more info please access our help page.

Sure, we try to add as many remotes as possible so you can control the computer in an easier way. FAQ - License & Payment questions


If you use the same Google Account on all of your Android devices you will NOT have to buy the app on all of your devices since the purchase that you made was saved in your Google Account.If you use different Google Accounts on your Android devices you will have to buy the app on each phone or tablet you use.

Yes, if you will download the free version of the app you will have the option of purchasing the premium features directly within this version without buying and then downloading the paid version of the app.

Yes, if you will purchase any premium features directly within the free version, that purchase will be saved in your Google Account which means that if you will have to change your phone or tablet, uninstall and then reinstall the app or if you will clear the cache of the app you will NOT have to purchase the feature again, since it will be saved in your Google Account.

No, you only pay one time and whenever the app is updated you will get all the feature updates at no additional cost.
